Yes, the default system Music-on-Hold (MoH) that comes with your LunaVoice Hosted-PBX can be changed to whatever you wish.
To do this, however, requires that you find the appropriate music to use and either upload it yourself (if you're an admin on your system) or send it to us and we'll upload it for you.
You will need to find a royalty-free music track that you like. Some can be found for free online but most require a one-time licensing cost. This can range anywhere from $10-20 to as much as $75 or more. Typically, the costlier tracks are of a much better selection and quality.
We recommend a company called EasyOnHold -- they're great and are the best we've found. They also offer some custom services, such as professional Auto-Attendant, Voicemail, IVR, and a handful of related audio recording services.
Some key audio format specifications you'll need to order your music track are as follows:
- .WAV file format (CCITT, u-law, or a-law codec) or .WMA
- 8.000 kHz
- 8 bit mono
- Maximum length allowed is 10 minutes; however, we recommend keeping this to approx 5 minutes or less.
Note: It is illegal to upload copyrighted music without obtaining the proper licensing from the artist or their licensing representative, typically ASCAP or BMI.
